Personal trainers can be very helpful in helping you achieve an exercise routine that optimizes your time at the gym. They can also help keep you accountable to exercising consistently. However, they can also be costly. If you need help exercising and think that a personal trainer will help but the cost of hiring one is too much, consider becoming your own personal trainer. Home personal training can be achieved easily with a little planning and perseverance.

To start yourself on an exercise regimen, plan out your exercise. You should be doing aerobic exercise at least six days a week and weight training no more than three days a week. Decide which aerobic activities you like best and write down on a calendar which ones you will be doing. Then, come up with a weight training plan. Fitness magazines, exercise manuals, and the Internet are great places to find information on weight training. Some of these resources will even give you a weekly plan of exercises and number of repetitions that should be completed.

Keeping yourself motivated is another important part of becoming our own personal trainer. Home personal training can be just as effective as hiring a personal training if the exercise is consistent. Motivate yourself with a non-food related reward once you achieve various goals you have set for yourself. Exercising to music is a great way to stay motivated during exercise. Finding an exercise partner who will commit to regular exercise with you will help your consistency of work outs as well.
